The Parish Apple Fest

The Parish Apple Fest was great fun. Thousands of apples came in and hundreds of pies, crumbles, toffee apples, cakes and sauces were made.

Do you want your child to make their First Holy Communion next Summer? If the answer is yes, and your child is not in a Catholic school, then you need to register them for classes as soon as possible.

It is always lovely to see young couples in our parish. Some mention that it is sometimes hard to meet other young couples who are committed to their faith and then others might be new to the Tamworth and even the U.K.

The Pilgrimage to Poland

The Pilgrimage to Poland was a most moving, enjoyable, shocking and fruitful, we were moved by the goodness of so many, the Love of God and the cruelty of humanity (Auschwitz).

Father Michael is ‘Chasing the Cake’ this Sunday. It is a bike ride that he is part of and it aims to raise funds for a new permanent emergency night shelter (the only one) in Birmingham.

Journey in Faith

Journey in Faith will be on a Thursday this year starting on Oct 5th. We are inviting two groups:

  1. People who are not Catholic & want to know more.
  2. Catholics who want to renew their faith.

St John’s Church’s refurbishment is long overdue. We did some consultation nearly two years ago. Further work was delayed by the work on the community space we established.
